Traditional and Timeless Kitchen Remodel | East Troy, WI
When you want something timeless, without having to sacrifice style, this is it…
Creating a home that feels like home will always outlast following the latest design trends. This kitchen design was centered around that one concept. Home. Something that feels cozy at the end of a long day, children and their friends gathering around the island, and hosting family get togethers on holidays and special occasions. A place to gather, because we all know, the kitchen is the heart of the home and everyone ends up gathering there. So why not make a large and functional space to cater to the masses!
Great design starts with understanding the people who will call a space home. Every remodel begins with thoughtful conversations about how our clients live, entertain, and make memories in their homes. This project held a special place in our hearts because it was for a returning client. The trust we’d built through previous projects allowed us to collaborate effortlessly, resulting in a kitchen that feels timeless, intentional, and uniquely theirs.
“We have trusted this family-run contractor with multiple major renovations over the past six years, including our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, and basement, and their work has been consistently exceptional. They treat us like VIP clients, respond quickly to any needs, and stand behind their work with a level of care and reliability that is very hard to find. Every part of the process is thoughtfully managed, and their entire team is very professional, friendly, and passionate about what they do. Not to mention, they consistently give back and do so much for their local community. I highly recommend James R. Taylor & Sons for any residential renovation you need – you won’t regret it!”

The Vision
While every finish in this kitchen was chosen for its timeless beauty, the layout was just as intentional. The kitchen was designed around the classic work triangle, creating a seamless connection between the sink, refrigerator, and cooking area. This thoughtful planning minimizes unnecessary steps, maximizes efficiency, and allows the space to function beautifully for everyday living and entertaining. It’s one of those design details you may not immediately notice—but you’ll appreciate every time you use the kitchen.
The Finished Space
What began as a vision for a timeless, functional kitchen is now a space that beautifully reflects the family’s lifestyle. Every design decision, from the custom cabinetry and handcrafted hood to the carefully planned layout and warm finishes, was made with both beauty and purpose in mind. The result is a kitchen that feels inviting, works effortlessly for everyday living, and will remain stylish for years to come.
As you explore the photos below, you’ll notice the thoughtful details that make this kitchen truly unique. From cozy gathering spaces to custom craftsmanship, every element was designed to create a home that feels as good as it looks. This is more than just a remodeled kitchen, it’s the heart of the home, thoughtfully designed for making meals, memories, and everyday moments together.
A letter from our Designer
This project was so much fun from start to finish. I loved working closely with Stephanie to create a space that feels timeless, cozy, and completely functional for her family. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to make the home both beautiful and practical for everyday living, while reflecting her personal style and the way her family uses the space.
One of the most rewarding parts of this project was seeing the vision come to life through the thoughtful selections and custom details. Some of my favorite features are the custom kitchen hood and the barn door leading to the pantry. They add so much character and warmth to the space while creating beautiful focal points that make the home feel truly unique. Watching everything come together and seeing the finished result is always the best part, and I couldn’t be happier with how this home turned out.
