At James R. Taylor & Sons, family is at the core of everything we do. Built and carried forward through four generations, our company was founded on a simple mission: to deliver the highest quality workmanship and service possible.
It all began in 1949, when Jim’s grandfather specialized in home insulation. In the 1980s, Jim Sr. expanded into siding and roofing, and as Jim Jr. grew up in the business, he continued to grow and evolve the company over the decades. Today, James Taylor III works alongside him, along with his daughter Haley — and together with sons- and daughters-in-law, cousins, and friends, they continue the family legacy.
As owners, Jim and Stevie take pride not only in the work they do, but in the people they work with, the families they serve, and the community they call home.
James R. Taylor & Sons is a full-service general contractor serving Southeastern Wisconsin. What started as a company focused on Roofing, Siding, and Windows has continued to grow over the years into full interior and exterior remodeling, additions, custom builds, design services, and more. As our experience expanded, so did the services we offered. Today, our team handles everything from kitchens, bathrooms, and basement remodels to exterior renovations, decks, additions, and full home transformations. From the first design meeting to the final walkthrough, we manage the entire process in-house to give homeowners one trusted team throughout the project.
A Family Legacy, Built to Last.

Company Culture @
James R. Taylor & Sons
Our culture at James R. Taylor & Sons is centered around teamwork, loyalty, and creating a workplace people genuinely enjoy being part of. We believe the relationships built within our team are just as important as the work we produce. Through company events, team outings, and everyday collaboration, we’ve created a culture that feels supportive, hardworking, and family-oriented.
One of our favorite traditions is getting the entire team together for company meetings focused on safety, communication, and company goals before spending the afternoon enjoying lunch and our annual cornhole tournament together. We believe working hard and taking time to enjoy one another outside of the jobsite creates a stronger team, better morale, and a workplace people are proud to be part of.
Expertise and Reliability you can trust.
